HOW TO MEASURE FOR OUTDOOR DROP DOWN ROLLER BLINDS
Important Notes:
It is important that measurements are exact. Always use a steel tape measure. Hold your finger on the small hook at the end of the tape. Pull the tape out making sure it is pulled straight & tight. Do not push on the tape towards the metal end or your measurement will come out slightly too big. Measure in millimeters.
With these blinds there are three common ways of mounting them to your timber frame (Fig 1,2 and 3) . One bracket is suitable for all three and it is important to note which way best suits your situation prior to measuring. Often when you have blinds that are close together it may be necessary to use a combination of mounting types to ensure they do not interfere with each other during operation (Fig 5)

Do not make any deductions for brackets. We will do this for you.
Measure each blind space individually even if they look the same. There can be small differences.

Inside or Outside Mount
Ensure there are no obstructions to the installation or operation your blinds. Measure the exact width in millimeters across the top where the blind will be mounted, then the total length you want the blind to go down to. Note this top to bottom measurement is where the top of the bracket will be fitted. Where you have blinds that are coming together at the end measure to the outside position of the bracket. Also note at this point where you would like the removable operating handle to be located (left or right) as there may be obstacles or advantages to being on one particular side.
